Kindness

Kindness “the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate”

We believe in the magic of kindness. People who perform small acts of kindness feel good about themselves because they know they are bringing joy to other people. Our elves inspire children to be kind to others. Your elf can leave an invitation for your child to participate in an Act of Kindness. Here are some suggestions to get you started:

  • Donate toys, books, or clothes to the local charity shop / shelter.
  • Hold the door open for others.
  • Be grateful, and say thank you!
  • Wash a car for a family member, a friend, or even your neighbor.
  • Help with household chores.
  • Plant a tree.
  • Clean up rubbish in your street, school, or park.
  • Collect food for the local food bank.
  • Give someone a compliment.
  • Buy a gift for someone in need.
  • Call someone special to say I love you.
  • Invite a new friend to play.
  • Share a snack with a friend.
  • Bake a cake for someone who is housebound.
  • Pick weeds from the neighbours’ garden.
  • Give lots of hugs.
  • Help carry someone’s bags off the bus.
  • Say good morning to people you see.
  • Put together packs for children’s hospitals or hospices.
  • Put some pennies in a charity jar.
  • Stand up to let your elders have a seat on the bus.
  • Be kind to animals.
